Notes and Highlights

The 1997 Fox Kids Summer Blast ends today at 4:30pm. The event had been running since July 5, 1997.
Today would be the final time that Batman: The Animated Series (also known as The Adventures of Batman & Robin) would air on Fox. The series would move to Kids' WB the following Monday, and would additionally premiere on Cartoon Network seven months afterwards.
- Today was also the final time Eek! The Cat/Eek! Stravaganza aired on Fox by itself. Segments of the show would air as part of Cartoon Cabana starting July 4, 1998.
- And, despite a much-hyped entrance, Roar whimpers off the Fox schedule after tonight.
